The Able Carry Max was my next pick if anyone has experience with that. I rarely carry a laptop, just a tablet and headphones, so maybe I just don't have enough weight in the backside of the bag to keep it upright. Without the pouch there, it sometimes does, with the pouch, no way that thing is standng up on it's own. The CPP looks, theoretically, like it should stand on it's own. I also bought the Aer Slim Pouch and was planning on keeping it in the front quick access pocket, since it almost seems made for that, but that makes it way too top heavy. It feels like I'm wearing a box on my back. It also feels oddly small and not particularly comfortable on my 6' 3", 270lb (fat, not muscle sadly) frame. 5) larger than the fit pack, but with a single pair of shoes, gym clothes, trunks, and flip flops for the sauna, the CPP feels fully packed out with no room to spare.
#Aer fit pack 2 pro
I wanted to stick with Aer, so I went for the City Pack Pro as I thought it ticked all the boxes and was several liters (approx. I was also looking for something that would work for occasional travel. I decided to purposefully avoid dedicated shoe compartments on my next bag and use a shoe pouch in the main compartment instead.

Now that I've actually started going back to the gym, I find the Fit Pack too small and the shoe compartment drives me crazy since it eats up the entire main compartment (I wear a size 13 shoe). I've had the Aer Fit Pack 2 for a few years and I've both enjoyed it and been a fan of the materials and durability of their products.
